Streevani is a sister Institute of Ishvani Kendra. It
aims at promoting the integral liberation of women in view of restoring
her dignity as a person and as an equal partner with man in society;
it works for the empowerment of women to establish justice, fraternity
and fellowship. This Centre also has a Documentation section, a research
wing and engages in social work among women

To awaken the women religious in India from the present
situation, a conscious effort is made to empower them with new consciousness
to assert their rights as human persons as well as religious in society.
The following programmes are envisaged for 2003. |

Apr. 23-28: "Spirituality from a Woman's
Perspective" (for women religious in formation and
leadership ministries) at Ishvani Kendra, Pune. |

Aug. 17-22: "Re-vitalizing the Empowerment
Process" (for women religious who are Core-group
members of the empowerment programme in different regions),
at Ishvani Kendra, Pune. |
| 3. |
Oct. 21-26: "Building a Gender Just
Society" (for women religious who are in the educational
field) at Ishvani Kendra, Pune. |
| 4. |
Dec. 07-10: A Consultation on Partnership
in the Mission of the Church (for invitees only) at Ishvani
Kendra, Pune. |
